</Note>

## Your Interview Link

Your interview link looks like this:

```
https://app.hallway.com/interview/abc123xyz...
```

This link:

* Is unique to your project
* Works for unlimited respondents
* Doesn't require respondents to log in
* Stays the same as long as your project is active

## Ways to Share

Share your interview link however works best for reaching your target respondents:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Email">
    Copy the link into an email invitation. Include context about:

    * What the research is about
    * How long it takes (check your time limit setting)
    * Why their input matters
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Messaging">
    Paste the link in Slack, Teams, Discord, or any messaging platform. The link works on both desktop and mobile devices.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Survey Tools">
    Include the link in a follow-up survey or screener. Great for recruiting respondents who meet specific criteria.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Social Media">
    Share the link on LinkedIn, Twitter, or community forums where your target respondents are active.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Best Practices

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Set expectations upfront">
    Tell respondents what to expect: a voice conversation with an AI interviewer lasting about 10 minutes (or your configured time limit). Mention they'll need microphone access.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Explain the value">
    People are more likely to participate when they understand how their input will be used. Share why their perspective matters to your research.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Choose the right time">
    Send interview invitations when respondents are likely to have 10-15 minutes of uninterrupted time. Avoid sending late at night or during busy periods.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Follow up thoughtfully">
    If you need more responses, send a gentle reminder. Don't spam—one or two follow-ups is usually enough.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Tracking Responses

As respondents complete interviews, you'll see them appear in your project's **Responses** tab:

* **Total Sessions** - How many interviews have been started
* **Completed** - How many finished successfully
* **Processed** - How many have been transcribed and analyzed

<Tip>
  Check your Responses tab regularly to monitor participation and process new sessions.
</Tip>

## Completing Your Project

When you've collected enough responses:

1. Click the menu in your project header and select **Mark as Complete**
2. Existing sessions remain accessible
3. The interview link will show a message that the research is complete to new visitors

<Warning>
  Once marked as complete, respondents clicking your link will see a message that the research is no longer accepting responses. Make sure you've collected all the responses you need before completing.
</Warning>

## Troubleshooting

**Link not working?**

* Verify the project is activated (not in Draft status)
* Check that you copied the complete link
* Try opening the link in an incognito/private browser window

**Respondents can't start the interview?**

* They need to allow microphone access in their browser
* A stable internet connection is required
* Desktop browsers generally work better than mobile

## Next Steps

* [Learn how interviews work](how-interviews-work) from the respondent's perspective
